Kot Kot & Sashash Ulz Confirmed For Berry Feast 2014

Sasha (Sashash Ulz/Bathrons) and Lena (Kot Kot) are a couple from Karelia, North-West Russia. Together and solo they play and record music using found sounds, sound collages, both abstract and rhythmic.

Kot Kot is more into minimalistic songs with sporadic loops and casio synthesizers inspired by soviet magazines and books for children. Sasha’s music is located in-between ambient, psych instrumentals and folk songs, though this year he will perform a different set.

The recordings by Sasha, Lena and their duo Dva Zagorodnyh Doma were released on various tape/vinyl labels in the USA, Europe and Australia. In 2012 Sasha and Lena participated in the “Istoki Experience” project in collaboration with a French director Vincent Moon, Love Cult duo and a Karelian folk ensemble.
